“Nakamano-yado” was the place where representatives of each “Ban-yado” used
to gather to hold meetings.
“Kawagoshi-Ninsoku”(river-crossing workers) aged 45 and over
who had retired from their duties also gathered ,
using here as a place for all kinds of consultations and
communications about the process of river crossing.
It is said that the representatives of each “Ban-yado” were determined
by the votes of the officials and “Kawagoshi-Ninsoku”.
